AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police paid tribute to a fallen officer on Wednesday.

Officer Amy Donovan was chasing a suspect when she was accidentally hit and killed by a police cruiser in October 2004. She later died of her injuries.

The Austin Police Womens Association honored Donovan by erecting a memorial marker at The Domain shopping center, 3200 Amy Donovan Plaza.

The plaque is one of 20 markers that will be put up around Austin to honor fallen officers.
