GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) - Georgetown police said a car driven by a teen hit and killed an elderly woman.

Laura Lou Allen, 62, was walking at 1300 W. University Ave. when authorities said Dalton Rosenberger, 17, struck and killed her just after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Rosenberger drove a four-door Nissan Sentra westbound in the right lane when the accident happened just east of DB Wood Road on State Highway 79 in Georgetown, according to police.

Allen was a home health care worker and was walking home from a job at the time of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatality is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
