AUSTIN (KXAN) - Crews are starting structural repairs to the Echelon Building in northwest Austin near MoPac and U.S. 183.

Joseph Steck crashed his airplane into the building in February. Thirteen people were hurt, two died, including the pilot.

All of the windows are now removed and the building is completely gutted. Contractors are now working to rebuild and strengthen the steel beam structure.
