AUSTIN (KXAN) - After a review of his performcance, the Austin city council passed a resolution to extend city manager Marc Ott's current benefits for another year.
Ott meet with the council for his annual review and was commended for his work.
"There is opportunity for improvement, but Ott has performed his duties well, demonstrated dedication to his work and overall, citizens have benefited from a city that well run," said councilmember Randi Shade.
Ott has faced recent criticisms for the city's handling of the KeyPoint review of the Nathanial Sanders shooting.
Ott will retain the same salary having declined a raise due to the economic climate.
