AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Better Business Bureau recently gave ITech Electronics in North Austin an "F" ranking because of 13 complaints filed within a 3 year span. The company is located at 8312 Burnet Road Suite 109.
ITech Electronics repairs Apple equipment including IPods, IPhones and IPads.
Complaints range from Delivery Issues to Repair and Service Issues, to customer service reponse and Guarantee and Warrany-related problems. 6 of the 13 complaints remain unresolved.

“We’re pretty concerned because the business has 13 complaints in a fairly short period of time and they all are saying all the same things. And we are concerned these complaints are forming a pattern,” said Erin Dufner with the BBB.
She says, the main issue is that the complaints are all customer-driven. The BBB is having trouble getting in contact with the owner.
“I used to be real firm and quick about responding to complaints, but the complaints were starting to get ridiculous to where people were complaining about anything” said Gregory Johnson who owns ITech Electronics. ”I have customers come in day in and day out regardless of what BBB says and I know I do a good service. I’m proud of what I do. I take pride in what I do. My employees take pride in what I do.”
James Chouinard was an ITech customer, but had the feeling he was getting the run-around when his IPod came back un-repaired.
“You’re used to a product and you want to spend the money to get it fixed and you find out you don’t have it to use anymore. All your routines are out of whack. And, I like this little red nano. I can’t find them anymore,” he said.
Now, the BBB is reaching out to Johnson. By responding to the complaints, Johnson could receive a higher rating.
“Certainly there are two sides to every story and unless the business responds to their side of the story, BBB is only able to report the consumer side of the story and certainly that the business has not responded to these disputes filed,” Dufner said.
