Car accident kills one near Smithville
Two car accident happened on Friday afternoon

BASTROP COUNTY, Texas - One person is dead and another person is in the hospital after two cars collided on Farm to Market 2104 in Bastrop County on Friday afternoon.
The Department of Public Safety said the accident happened just before 3 p.m. on FM 2104 near Grassy Creek Road -- which is inbetween Smithville and Paige.
Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the accident and one person died at the scene. Another person was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge in unknown condition.
No other details are known at this time.
