AUSTIN (KXAN) - Just in time to enjoy the sunshine on Friday, parts of Zilker Park that were once closed have now reopened.
Officials closed portions of the park in October to prepare for the Austin City Limits Music Festival and the cleanup that followed. Then, there was the Trail of Lights that returned after two years in the dark.
Austin Parks and Recreation Department officials said the trail cleanup is done.
That means the complete great lawn will be available for everyone Friday.
