AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Northwest Austin house fire in the Jollyville area killed the 76-year-old owner, Patsy Warford.

Fire investigators said she lived in the home with her husband, who was not home when the blaze broke out at 13401 Tamayo in Southwest Williamson County.

The County Sheriff’s Office fire investigators are still at the home Friday morning working to determine what started the fire that began Thursday afternoon.

Flames ripped through the single-story house in the Millwood neighborhood, and the flames could be seen shooting through the roof as firefighters rushed water from a ladder truck.

Jollyville firefighters, with help from Austin and Cedar Park firefighters, were called to the house around 5 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
