AUSTIN (KXAN) - An elderly woman was taken to a local hospital after losing control of her car and crashing into the front of a house in the Arboretum area.
First responders think rainy weather might have played a role in the accident, which occurred just after 1:30 p.m. in the 6300 block of Yaupon Drive near the Arboretum.
The woman was driving down a steep road, lost control of her car, passed over a retaining wall and landed, car nose first, near the front door of Larry Roush's home.
"That noise was just incredible," said Roush. "I really thought that the oven exploded."
Roush said the woman was taken to the hospital because her back was hurting, but she is expected to be ok.
