AUSTIN (KXAN) - Rene Zamora, the former equipment manager for University of Texas athletics teams, was found guilty Wednesday of six counts of improper photography.

Zamora, 32, went on trial this week on charges that he secretly taping UT student-athletes. He faces up to two years in prison for each count.

An investigation began into Zamora in Sept. 2010 after a member of the university’s cross-country team said she caught Zamora filming her in the shower.

Zamora was arrested and charged following a two-month long investigation .
