AUSTIN (KXAN) - Three children and one adult were injured in a crash Tuesday afternoon when a pickup truck crashed into a Capital Metro bus in Southeast Austin.

The wreck happened between the two vehicles at Riverside and Airport Commerce drives just before 1 p.m., and  Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical crews took the four people to the hospital. The injuries were non-life-threatening, officials said. All of the injured were in the pickup, and no one on the bus was injured.

The driver of the pickup truck will be issued a citation, according to police, who said the truck pulled out from a driveway in front of the city bus.

Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

About 16 people were aboard the bus when the crash happened.
