AUSTIN (KXAN) - A winter weather advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. to noon on Sunday for the counties along Interstate 35 through the Hill Country.

An upper low pressure system will move into the area early on Sunday and will produce light precipitation across the area. Since temperatures will be in the 20s in the Hill Country and low 30s along Interstate 35 early on Sunday morning, with the slight possibility of a few flurries or a little bit of sleet.

Accumulates of snow or sleet are not expected. With cold showers, however, some less-traveled bridges and highway overpasses may have light ice form on them after daybreak.

Temperatures will warm by mid-day on Sunday, and it will be a cold and damp afternoon.
