Teen walking on US 183 hit and killed

18-wheeler heading south on highway

CEDAR PARK, Texas (KXAN) - Cedar Park police had parts of U.S. Highway 183 closed as investigated a deadly accident that happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. 

Police said an 18-wheeler was headed south on U.S. Highway 183 -- also known as North Bell Boulevard -- when the driver hit a Enzo Padua, 15,r walking in the main road just south of Block House Drive.

EMS took a teenager to Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Lt. Darlene Lewis said the teenager was walking alone on a stretch of highway with no sidewalks.

No citations was issued, but the accident is still under investigation.
