AUSTIN (KXAN) - During the month of February, the Comptroller’s office will conduct five free taxpayer seminars across the state. At these seminars, taxpayers will learn:

  • how to properly fill out sales tax forms
  • file and pay taxes electronically
  • more about e-services to help taxpayers manage their accounts online

Comptroller representatives will be available to answer questions and provide assistance to attendees.

“We want to empower Texas business owners by making resources and information accessible. Conducting these seminars and making our team of tax specialists available provides much needed guidance,” said R.J. DeSilva, spokesman for the Comptroller’s office.

Those who are unable to attend the seminars can call the Comptroller’s tax assistance line at 1-800-252-5555.

Tax forms and tax information can also be found on the comptroller’s website .
