SXSW Interactive awards announced

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Awards for the newest and best in the interactive world as noted at the 2012 South By Southwest Interactive Conference were given out Tuesday night at the downtown Hilton.

Six grand prize award winners were chosen from 18 finalists at the fourth annual SXSW Accelerator presented by Microsoft BizSpark.

A panel of 36 judges consisted of industry experts, venture capitalists, and high-profile media influencers. The judges were tasked with determining the viability of startup companies based on their demonstrated business and investment experiences.

Grand prize winners chosen were:

Named as the winner of the Best Bootstrap Company as the company who has done the most with least was Brand Yourself .
