AUSTIN (KXAN) - A SWAT scene is over in North Austin after a man surrendered and was shot by Austin police with bean bag munition.
A man was barricaded in the laundromat at The Legacy Apartments in North Austin on Sunday afternoon.
A call came in to Austin police around noon on Sunday. The man, who was in the apartment complex's laundromat, made threats to others. SWAT was called out to the scene when the man did not respond to police.
No one else is in the laundromat. The Legacy is located in the 1100 block of Reinli.
The unnamed man will face charges of retaliation, a third degree felony; terroristic threat, a Class A misdemeanor; and evading on foot, a Class A misdemeanor.
