AUSTIN (KXAN) - A victim's description of the person who burglarized a North Austin home this week led police to a man who admitted to more than two-dozen other break-ins and the recovery of a large haul of electronics.
Police said Thursday that they arrested 31-year-old Victor Solano-Rojas walking in the vicinity of a burglary in the 8700 block of Bridgeport Drive. During an interview, Solano-Rojas told a detective that he had broken into several homes, taking cash and property.
Then, over an eight-hour stretch, police said Solano-Rojas provided them a list of 29 burglaries and the locations where he had sold items such as laptops, flat-screen televisions and cell phones.
Several of the items were recovered. Anyone who was burglarized in the areas should call the APD Burglary Unit at (512) 974-6941
Solano-Rojas is charged with burglary of a residence.
