DEL VALLE, Texas (KXAN) - Travis County sheriff's deputies caught and arrested an armed man who ran away from a Del Valle shooting that left a 23-year-old man in the hospital Thursday morning.

It happened in the parking lot of a grocery store in the 16000 block of High Noon Drive.

The suspect, Rolando Rodriguez, 32, was found and taken into custody just after 11 a.m., Travis County Sheriff's Office spokesman Roger Wade said.

Officers said a man drove up and shot the victim, who was in the parking lot. He sustained a non-life-threatening injury.

According to Wade, the two men know each other.

The suspect drove off in a white Toyota Camry, and the 23-year-old was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge for treatment.

Rodriguez is being held in Travis County Jail charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. His bond was set at $50,000.
