AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police are looking for the person or persons who might be responsible for firing shots at two different locations in North Austin on Friday afternoon.
Police were originally called to an apartment complex in the 12100 block of Metric Boulevard around 5:10 p.m. for shots fired. Residents at the complex said they heard shots in the area but they weren't sure where the shots came from.
Five minutes later and less than two miles away, a man standing at the ExxonMobil gas station, at the corner of MoPac Expressway and Duval Road, said a stray bullet grazed his stomach. The victim's injuries were minor and he refused treatment.
Police don't know if the two incidents are directly related but they are still investigating.
