AUSTIN (KXAN) - The electric cab reported stolen over the weekend was found parked Monday on a street near Riverside Drive, and the person who gave the tip to its whereabouts is in line for a reward.
Chris Nielsen, the owner of Electric Cab of Austin, said a person called it in on Monday morning after he saw a TV news report. It was found on Mariposa Drive just south of Riverside, Nielson said.
The small vehicle was stolen on Saturday between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. from Electric Cab's offices at 5011 E. Cesar Chavez. St.
Nielson said the location is gated and locked and it was locked when employee showed up on Saturday morning and realized the cab was missing.
The tipster will be receive a $1,000 reward.
