AUSTIN (KXAN) - Agents with the State Comptroller's Office have seized a dry-cleaner outlet on Airport Boulevard in Austin over unpaid taxes, the agency said Monday.
Customers can pick up their belongings from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to claim there belongings. They must pay in cash, the office sai.
Airport Cleaners (at 729 Airport Blvd.) owes about $9,800 in sales tax," said R.J. DeSilva of the Comptroller's Office. "This is for the time period of November 2011 through June. We’ve been in contact with them for several months to pay their tax.
"But because they haven’t done so yet, we did what’s called a full seizure last week – where we close a business until they pay their taxes."
