Spicewood wreck kills man walking

SPICEWOOD, Texas (KXAN) - A wreck on State Highway 71 in Spicewood Saturday killed a man walking in the area.

The Pedernales Fire Department confirms a 40-year-old man was hit and killed on SH 71 near the intersection of Bob Wire Road in Spicewood.

The Travis County Sheriff's Office will take over the investigation at this point.

There is no word on what caused the accident.

The roadway had been closed down to one lane in each direction, but all lanes have since reopened.
