AUSTIN (KXAN) -
Officers said around 2:45 a.m. Monday, a woman called 911 and said a man attacked and kidnapped her roommate at gunpoint.

That led the SWAT team to a home at 6208 Blarwood Drive in South Austin, where authorities found the car outside the home.

Still, police said the man inside the home refused to come out for two hours or so, eventually surrendering just before 5 a.m.

The situation reportedly ended peacefully, and police said they took the suspect into custody once the woman was released.
