Small fire causes $70,000 in damage

No injuries in accidental blaze

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A house fire Wednesday morning in East Austin caused $70,000 in damages.

Austin firefighters responded to the small fire at 6:40 a.m. at a home at 2939 Eckert Street.

The fire was quickly out, and there were no injuries. Officials ruled the fire accidental.

Damage estimates stand at $50,000 for the home and $20,000 for belongings.
