Seasonal job fair set for F1 track

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Hundreds of seasonal jobs are available for those who want to work at the new Circuit of The Americas track during the U.S. Grand Prix Formula One race in November.

Stadium People is hosting a job fair on Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Courtyard Austin Airport hotel, located at 7809 E. Ben White Blvd.

Circuit of The Americas on Monday announced that two of its corporate partners, Stadium People and Sodexo Corporate Services, will conduct job fairs during the week of Sept. 10 to recruit seasonal workers for the race, set for Nov. 16-18 at the Circuit, as well as other events scheduled at the facility in 2013.

Stadium People is hiring hundreds of workers for guest service and security positions, as well as ticket takers, ushers and parking attendants.

Recruitment specialists are specifically looking for residents of the Del Valle community to apply for current openings at the Circuit.

How to apply

Interested applicants should arrive at the Courtyard Austin Airport hotel no later than 6 p.m. on Wednesday in order to register and participate in the screening process.

Additionally, Sodexo Corporate Services, which is the Circuit’s official catering partner, is hosting career fairs on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dell Diamond sports facility, located at 3400 E. Palm Valley Blvd. in Round Rock.

Sodexo has 500 openings for supervisors, bartenders, cooks and prep cooks, stand leads, suite attendants, cashiers, runners and cash room and utilities workers.

In order to be considered for employment with Stadium People or Sodexo Corporate Services:

• applicants must be at least 18 years old
• successfully complete a background check
• be legally authorized to work in the United States
