AUSTIN (KXAN) - Supporters of Congressman-turned-presidential-candidate Ron Paul are headed to the streets of Austin this Saturday to counter what they call a media blackout.

The group says the 'Ron Paul for President Austin area Sign Wave' will demonstrate his strong and diverse grassroots support.

Supporters plan to distribute campaign material to counter what they call a “Media Blackout of Dr. Ron Paul.”

Teams gathered at 15 locations throughout the city, including the Capitol, Whole Foods Corporate headquarters downtown and West Campus area to promote Ron Paul's message in a city wave "sign wave."

Organizers say they will also distribute bumper stickers, flyers, and seek contacts with like minded supporters.
