AUSTIN (KXAN) - Restaurants, bars, night clubs and hotels in downtown Austin filled up fast as people waited for the clock to strike midnight.

The second floor of the W Austin Hotel was packed. Around 500 tickets sold out to their New Year's Eve Coast to Coast themed party.

It is the first NYE's bash at the hotel because there was a wedding booked on the second floor last year.

The W has four rooms set up to coincide with four different time zones so partiers can ring in the New Year four times. There is a New York City, Austin, Arizona and Hollywood, California room

The Austin rock band Quiet Company took the stage in the Austin room at 10 p.m

Tickets were around $200 a person and packaged deals were offered to stay at the hotel.

Another big draw was country music legend Willie Nelson who performed Sunday and Monday night at Austin City Limits Live.
