AUSTIN (KXAN) - Bo is a 4-year-old lab mix who is looking for a forever home right now.
According to the Austin Animal Center, "This big guy is a good example of a very good dog who just needs to find the right match."
Bo came to the shelter the first time last fall after being abandoned. He was left behind at a vacant house. He was adopted to a great home and family, and his behavior there was wonderful, except that he did not like to share his stuff with their resident Chihuahua, and he showed that in no uncertain terms, which was not so safe for the little Chihuahua.
"So, we’re hoping the third time is the charm for Bo and we can find him just the right match now – probably an adult home with some big-dog experience and no little dogs in the home," said Amber Rowland.
His last family reported that Bo doesn’t bark much at all, that he’s very house-trained, that he behaved well both in the house and in their fenced yard, enjoyed going for walks or going jogging and playing with stuffed squeaky toys, and that loved petting and attention more than anything else, Rowland said.
The Austin Animal Center is open every day of the week from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The adoption process is simple, and our adoption fees are amazingly low – usually $20 or $35 and that includes over $200 worth of services like vaccinations, a microchip, a collar and tags and spay or neuter surgery, Rowland said.
The Austin Animal center located at 7201 Levander Loop, just off Airport Boulevard. The shelter's website can be found here.
