AUSTIN (KXAN) - Hundreds of people lined up at an Austin bookstore on Wednesday evening to get their chance to get a signed copy of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor's new memoir, My Beloved World.

Sotomayor started this week by swearing in Vice President Joe Biden, but she has spent the rest of this week  criss-crossing the country to promote her book.

At BookPeople, Sotomayor spoke in front of an attentive crowd and even took a few questions from some chosen Galindo Elementary School students.

One student asked what was Sotomayor's "second-wish" career path, Sotomayor responded with "none," explaining that she found her "perfect job."

Sotomayor -- appointed in 2009 -- is the first Hispanic and third woman appointed to the United States Supreme Court.

In her memoir, she recounts her life from a Bronx housing project to the federal bench.
