AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Pecan Street Festival was a "go" downtown, despite sparse crowds on Saturday afternoon.
The festival's organizers discouraged bands with electrical equipment from playing, but a number of vendors were on hand to sell good to the public.
A crowd, smaller than expected, was on hand for the annual festival. Organizers expect a far larger turnout when the weather clears on Sunday. The festival will include entertainment, food and vendors.
This is the 31st year for the street festival , which occurs twice a year down on Sixth Street. Capital Metro will provide bus service to and from the festival.
