Open casting call for new JFK film

Movie will film in Austin in January and February

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A movie about John F. Kennedy's assassination, produced by Tom Hanks, is holding an open casting call for actors this upcoming weekend.

The movie titled Parkland, starring Billy Bob Thornton and Paul Giamatti, will be filmed in Austin in January and February.

Parkland recounts the stories at Parkland Hospital as well as other key players on Nov. 22, 1963.

The open casting call held by Broack/Allen Casting and Vicky Boone Casting is for paid speaking and non-speaking roles.

When: Sunday, Dec.16

Where: Clarion Inn at 2200 S. IH-35 at Oltorf

Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You must come to the open casting call to be considered for a speaking role. The agency said they are only looking for real people -- do not come to the open call for speaking roles if you have an agent.
