Man dead in rollover wreck in East Austin

Driver lost control on Parmer near US 290

AUSITN (KXAN) - A 56-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover on East Parmer Lane near U.S. 290 Monday morning.

Police at the scene said the man, whose name was not released, apparently lost control of his sport-utility vehicle, hit a curb and rolled the vehicle several times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The stretch of Parmer Lane is expected to remain closed for a significant amount of time.
