AUSTIN (KXAN) - A school bus wreck at RR 620 and Concordia University Drive left one person critically injured Friday morning.
EMS crews are at the wreck in far Northwest Austin near the entrance of Concordia University involving a pickup truck and a Leander Independent School District bus.
Leander ISD spokeswoman Veronica Sopher said initial reports indicate the driver of that truck was injured and taken to the hospital.
No one on board the fully loaded school bus -- with 61 students -- was injured.
EMS crews were prepared to take four students to the hospital as a precaution, but parents opted not to transport them and instead took them to school.
The remaining students were taken to school.
Photos submitted via the KXAN News Report it! function showed the front of the school bus crushed in and police on the scene.
