AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Austin Police Department suspended one of its officers for crashing a police cruiser during a pursuit on Dec. 10, 2012.
According to APD, Officer VonTrey Clark was traveling at a high rate of speed to catch up to a suspect that had run a stop sign. While in pursuit, Clark lost control of his vehicle, rolling his unit and causing additional damage to private property.
By crashing his cruiser, Clark violated the department’s general operation of a department vehicle guidelines.
Clark will be suspended for three days, beginning Friday, Feb. 8.
