AUSTIN (KXAN) - Looking for a lunch date spot that is different than your usual sandwich shop? How about a location where your money is actually helping college students? If that sounds delicious, make your way to the Austin Community College's Eastview Campus.
ACC's culinary arts students are putting their training to work in the kitchen of Le Bistrette, an on-campus restaurant.
Le Bistrette gives students practical, hands-on experience in all aspects of food service operations, from working at various kitchen stations to managing a restaurant.
The cafe will be serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday starting Feb. 13 through April 30.
The cafe is located at the Eastview Campus at 3401 Webberville Rd., Room 3158.
Reservations are not required. Gratuities are not accepted, but visitors are encouraged to fill out comment cards to assist students in the learning process.
