AUSTIN (KXAN) - No one was injured in an overnight two-alarm apartment fire at the Lafayette Landing apartment complex on Burton Drive.

When they arrived on scene, responding firefighters reported heavy fire coming out of windows at the two-story apartment complex. AFD says 15 units responded with about 50 firefighters. It took about 10 minutes for firefighters to get the flames under control.

AFD says one adult and four children were rescued from a second story window.

Of the 28 units in the building, residents have been allowed to return to all but three units.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
