AUSTIN (KXAN) – The Lone Star Fugitive Task force on Tuesday arrested a New York man wanted on a charge that he had sexually abused a child for two years.
Leslie A. Lloyd, 46, of Binghamton, N.Y., was taken into custody at 8 a.m., without incident in the 2800 block of Wells Branch Parkway.
Lloyd was the subject of a sex abuse investigation by the Binghamton Police Department in Upstate New York. The allegations are based upon a complaint alleging Lloyd engaged in sexual abuse in the first degree from August 2009 through August 2011.
The U.S. Marshals office worked with local law enforcement officers to arrest Lloyd.
The fugitive task force established surveillance on an apartment complex that officers believed Lloyd recently had moved to. He was seen departing from an apartment and was quickly surrounded and taken into custody.
Lloyd will remain in custody in Austin pending his extradition to New York.
