AUSTIN (KXAN) - We now know where Austin's downtown post office is headed.

The new office will be at the corner of Congress Avenue and Ninth Street.

The U.S. Postal Service sold the current downtown station at Sixth and Guadalupe streets and will begin moving post office boxes at the start of the new year.

ZIP Codes 78767 and 78768 will be located at the new downtown station.

The 78701 zip code will be at the postal station on South Congress Avenue.
