AUSTIN (KXAN) - All the rain at Zilker Park on Saturday helped create a muddy mess for folks at the Austin City Limits Music Festival.
The rain added a few more challenges to the final day of the festival. Much of the ground has turned to mud. And several of the parking lots in the area were closed due to cars getting stuck in the mud.
Officials tell KXAN they laid down 240 yards of mulch and 270 bales of hay to soak up the mud on the fields. Many of the attendees, who were waiting to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Sunday night, were not deterred by the muddy landscape.
Tickets for ACL Festival 2013, which will be two weekends next year, will go on sale as soon as the current festival is over.
