AUSTIN (KXAN) - Around 1 a.m. Saturday, a motorcycle rear-ended a F150 pickup truck, resulting in fatal injuries to the motorcyclist.
Both vehicles were heading northbound on Cameron Road near Anderson Lane.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at about 7 a.m.
Officials from Austin Police Department said that alcohol could be a factor. The name of the man who died has not been released.
According to APD, this is the 59th traffic fatality of the year, and the 10th involving a motorcycle.
