Motorcyclist dead in Montopolis crash

Cyclist collided with a vehicle near Hogan Drive

AUSTIN (KXAN) -

  The A Dodge Stratus was turning off of Hogan Drive and onto Montopolis Drive when it struck the 40-year-old male motorcyclist, a little after 7 p.m.

He was immediately transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge but later died.

Right now the identity of the motorcyclist is unknown and APD is are continuing to investigate the crash.

Police wouldn't say if he was wearing a helment or not. This death is Austin's 64 traffic fatality.
