The world’s premier motorcycle racing World Championship, MotoGP™, will join the roster of racing events next spring with the three-day series set for April 19-21, 2013.
The V8 Supercars Series, featuring Australian touring cars, will make its North American debut at the new Central Texas sports and entertainment venue on May 17-19, 2013.
Three-day reserved general admission tickets MotoGP are $89 with reserved seats ranging in price from $133 to $199. Three-day general admission tickets to V8 Supercars are $69 and three-day reserved seats for the series range in price from $83 to $275.
Patrons with Circuit of The Americas personal seat licenses will receive price discounts on their MotoGP and V8 Supercars ticket purchases.
Race fans purchasing tickets to these 2013 Circuit events can also choose to donate to three environmental causes as part of the circuit's sustainability programming:
“Circuit of The Americas will provide extraordinary opportunities to advance sustainable business development and foster environmental stewardship,” said Edgar Farrera, director of sustainability for CoTA. “Our priorities include site stewardship, facility performance, sustainable events, and education outreach. We know sustainability is very important to many of our ticketholders, and we want to give them a chance to support local environmental causes through ‘eco opt-in’ opportunities when they purchase tickets to Circuit-hosted events.”
CoTA is a member of the Green Sports Alliance, a nonprofit organization made up of more than 40 professional and collegiate sports teams and nearly 90 sports venues with a mission to help sports teams, venues and leagues enhance their environmental performance.
Circuit of The Americas is the first Formula 1™ racing facility to become a member of the Alliance.
“Circuit of The Americas is showing great leadership in the sports-greening movement with its innovative new ‘eco opt-in’ ticketing initiative, one of the first such programs to exist in the sports world,” noted David Muller, membership director of the Green Sports Alliance.
