AUSTIN (KXAN) - A rollover on State Highway 130 early Friday morning killed one person and sent three others to the hospital with serious injuries.
State trooper Jose Chapa said the wreck happened when the tire of a Ford F-250 truck blew out. The driver overcorrected, and that's when the truck rolled over.
The truck had four people inside and was pulling a 19-foot trailer at the time of the wreck.
EMS crews took three people to University Medical Center Brackenridge following the wreck in the 5600 block of south SH 130.
Police said the driver did have a seat belt on but was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Two others are stable, and another is dead. That person did not have a seat belt on.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Chris Bishop said it could take a while for the wreckage to be cleared.
Bishop said the main lanes of SH 130 heading south are closed at the toll plaza north of FM 812.
While crews were working on clearing the accident, police diverted drivers through the toll plaza to get around the crash site.
