AUSTIN (KXAN) - Owners of P.Terry’s have agreed to take part in what one company says will be a comedy show all about making commercials “SNL style.”
“We’re going to be doing a show where we pitch advertisements to P.Terry’s all night,” says Creative Director at Arts + Labor, Erik Horn.
Brad Parrett, Associate Creative Director at Arts + Labor and Horne will both take part in Saturday’s Hell Yes Fest , part of the Moontower Comedy Festival , in its first year.
The comedy show, “Unsuspectingly Sponsored By” is about advertising, featuring comedians who create advertisements for a living. Comedians like Horn make commercials they would really want to if it wasn't for those pesky clients.
In this show they put the client on the stage and throughout the show they constantly "pitch" new concepts and campaigns. The comedy troupe will perform improvisational sketch, stand-up monologues and most importantly fully produced video commercials/sketches.
Organizers say this is a way for Austinites to experience the Moontower Comedy Festival while supporting their own neighbors!
Saturday’s show will took place at the New Movement Downtown , located at 616 Lavaca, to a sold out crowd.
