AUSTIN (KXAN) - Two men are in jail after police say they robbed a business in East Austin and left a trail of money in the woods.

It happened Sunday morning at the Discoteca 2000 on E. Riverside Drive.

Police say the men allegedly pointed a gun at workers in the establishment before getting away with an undisclosed amount of money.

While they were running, the men actually dropped some of the cash.

Officers eventually surrounded and arrested the suspects in a wooded-area nearby.

Workers in the neighborhood say they never had a problem with this kind of crime until recently.

Conoco Food Mart Store Manager Jay Awshah says, "Two month ago, everything changed in this section."

The workers say trouble began when a group of homeless people moved into the woods.

Police recovered the stolen money and they credit witnesses for seeing the cash and turning it in to police.
