AUSTIN (KXAN) - A woman was rushed to the hospital after being hit by two cars in North Austin on Thursday evening.

Austin police said the wreck happened around 6:45 p.m. in the 15000 block of FM 1825, near W. Wells Branch Parkway.

While there isn't a crosswalk at this section of FM 1825, police say it is legal to cross at this location.

Austin Travis County EMS transported the pedestrian, believed to be in her mid-30s to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police said while both drivers initially stopped, one of the driver's ended up leaving the scene before officers arrived. Police are working on finding that second driver.
