AUSTIN (KXAN) - Austin police are still seeking clues in the murder of a man found in the 8600 block of North Lamar near Payton Gin Road on Friday night.
On Wednesday, police named Brian Ross, 28, as a suspect in the case.
Police originally responded to the area around 9:30 p.m. for a check welfare. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 33-year-old Adam Gonzales stabbed to death in the parking lot.
According to witnesses, Gonzales was involved in a disturbance with an unidentified man and woman earlier in the evening.
Police believe the motive was a disagreement over some personal property.
The killing is the 28th homicide of the year.
