Man found shot to death identified

APD investigating homicide in South Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) - A man was found shot to death in a car in South Austin on Friday night.

Austin police said shots were fired around 6:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Mission Hill Drive near Burleson road .

When officers got to the apartment complex, they found the victim in a car with an apparent gunshot wound -- although authorities can't specifically say how many shots were fired.

The victim was identified Monday as Louis Charles Allen, 22.

Police said they are looking for four Hispanic males who were seen leaving the scene in a white 4-door sedan with tinted windows, which is a 2000 model or newer.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588 or Crimestoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text "Tip 103" plus the message to CRIMES.

Tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if a tip leads to an arrest or charges being filed.
