AUSTIN (KXAN) - A man was rushed to the hospital on Wednesday evening after falling approximately 30 feet from an overpass at West Parmer Lane and MoPac in North Austin.

Police said the injured person's friend called 9-1-1 around 6:30 p.m. It appears that the man might have been homeless.

Police said several vehicles that stopped to help the man were involved in minor collisions. The pedestrian was not struck by any vehicles.

The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge with life-threatening injuries.
