AUSTIN (KXAN) – Country star Kenny Chesney will be the headliner when the Circuit of the Americas opens its Tower Amphitheater on April 5.
Chesney, a four-time winner of the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award, will bring his “No Shoes Nation” tour to the track east of Austin that opened with a Formula One race in November. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Texas native Kacey Musgraves will open the show for Chesney. The 24-year-old singer-songwriter released her first single, the critically acclaimed “Merry Go Round,” in September and will unveil her debut album this spring.
The Tower Amphitheater at Circuit of The Americas has the capacity to host up to 15,000 guests and is expected to feature more than 15 shows during its inaugural season. it will be be at the base of the track's 22-story observation tower.

Tickets for the April 5 event go on sale at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, or call 800-745-3000.
General admission/lawn tickets are priced at $45 per person. Reserved seats in the upper and lower bowls of the amphitheater are $85 per person. Floor seating runs $85 per person, and there are a limited number of premium floor seats priced at $150 per guest.
On-site parking can be purchased in advance and costs $25 for premium, up-close parking or $12 for standard parking. Standard parking can also be purchased on the evening of the show for $15. Guests are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure discounted prices and the closet parking to the venue’s main gates.
Circuit of The Americas’ parking lots open three hours before show time at 5 p.m. Main gates to the Grand Plaza area open at 6 p.m. for pre-concert festivities, and amphitheater seating opens at 7 p.m., one hour before the opening act takes the stage.
